Schwab Advisor Services (AS) is the industry leader in providing custody, trading, technology, and practice management services to independent advisory firms. Schwab serves approximately 16,000 individual RIA businesses with over $5 trillion in assets under management in accounts at Schwab. In Advisor Services, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and their clients are at the center of everything we do. This includes the third-party platforms that enable RIAs to run their businesses effectively.

Schwab Advisor Services is building an MCP (Model Context Platform) server that can support both internal and external needs. The MCP team will be responsible for developing a strategic roadmap with input from key stakeholders, advisors, and third parties and executing the vision.

What you'll do:

Contribute to and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for MCP by translating business outcomes and advisor needs into clearly defined, prioritized product increments and backlog itemsDevelop a deep understanding of Schwab Advisor Center's current capabilities and/or API offerings; evaluate internal and partner roadmaps for AI on platform to inform and evolve our MCP offeringLead product discovery and validation efforts with RIAs, internal business partners, and fintech providers to identify and prioritize high-value workflow use cases.Define, track, and communicate platform and product success metrics; report on roadmap progress, adoption trends, and outcomes to the Director and relevant stakeholdersPartner with engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient platform capabilities while balancing innovation, technical feasibility, risk management, and operational excellenceServe as a subject matter expert on Schwab's API capabilities and Schwab Advisor Center features, helping the team and stakeholders understand platform dependencies and integration opportunitiesChampion advisor and partner feedback, continuously evaluating market opportunities, platform performance, and enhancement priorities to improve user experience and business impactCollaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, compliance, and business teams to ensure product decisions are well-informed and aligned with enterprise priorities We Believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

What you have

Required Experience & Skills:

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in digital product management, with a demonstrated ability to deliver complex technology and business solutionsHands-on experience working with APIs, including defining API requirements, supporting integrations, or delivering API-oriented products Direct experience with Schwab Advisor Center capabilities and advisor workflows preferredProven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and drive sprint execution in an agile environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data, customer insights, and market feedback to guide product decisions and measure successEffective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize input from diverse partners and align teams around shared prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present product plans, progress updates, and business cases clearly to internal audiencesExperience developing product metrics and adoption frameworks to measure and communicate product valueBachelor's degree required; Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MCP, platform, or workflow-orchestration products that serve multiple customer segments or partner ecosystemsFamiliarity with fintech or financial services technology platforms In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
