The EMEA Media & Communications Advisory team comprises professionals with strong client relationships across a broad range of leading companies. The team is seeking an Associate to join its London-based team.
As an Associate in the Investment Banking EMEA Media & Communications Advisory team, you will play an important role in supporting senior bankers on strategic client engagements and the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions. You will work closely with Analysts, Associates and senior team members, while partnering with colleagues across product and industry teams, including M&A, ECM and DCM. The role offers significant exposure to clients, hands-on transaction experience, continuous mentoring and excellent development opportunities within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Job responsibilities
Perform detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysisSupport transaction execution, project management and day-to-day client coverage activitiesConduct transaction structuring, merger and financial analysisPrepare client presentations, board materials, memoranda and other materials used in corporate finance transactions and strategic client discussionsWork closely with senior bankers and client management teams in the execution of transactions and evaluation of strategic alternativesAssist in the development and coaching of junior team members Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Prior Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience, ideally within the Media, Telecoms, Communications and/or Digital Infrastructure sectorsStrong analytical, financial modelling and valuation skillsAbility to interact professionally with clients and colleagues at all levelsStrong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreamsAbility to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workHighly motivated, adaptable and able to work effectively in a team environment This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
