Role Overview

The Director, Public Affairs and Communication Services Digital Services, Japan plays a critical role in advancing Coca-Cola's digital transformation by delivering innovative, data-driven solutions across the public affairs and communication services. This role bridges digital capabilities with business priorities in Japan, ensuring that digital products and platforms enhance stakeholder engagement, strengthen brand reputation, and enable responsive, insight-led decision making. Operating within a product-centric digital model, this leader partners closely with business stakeholders, global digital teams, and regional leaders to translate transformation priorities into scalable digital solutions. The role focuses on embedding data, automation, and artificial intelligence into communications workflows, driving measurable improvements in customer experience, operational efficiency, and enterprise reputation management. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, an ability to operate within a matrixed global environment, and a deep understanding of how digital capabilities can enable modern communication ecosystems and customer engagement strategies in a complex market like Japan.

What You will do for us

Lead the design, development, and deployment of digital products and frameworks supporting reputation and public affairs and communication services, aligned with enterprise digital transformation prioritiesTranslate business needs into digital solutions by partnering with commercial, public affairs, and communication teams to enable data-driven engagement strategiesEmbed data, analytics, and artificial intelligence into communication processes to enhance responsiveness, personalization, and insight generationDrive adoption of digital platforms and tools, ensuring consistent usage and measurable business outcomes across stakeholder groupsCollaborate with global and regional digital teams to align Japan-specific solutions with enterprise architecture, standards, and product strategiesChampion a product-centric operating model by prioritizing user needs, continuous improvement, and measurable value delivery.Enable integration of reputation research, customer feedback, social listening, and communication analytics into decision-making frameworksIdentify opportunities to automate workflows and streamline operations to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortManage vendor and partner ecosystems to deliver high-quality digital capabilities that align with enterprise standardsSupport change management and capability building to increase digital fluency across communication teamsCollect, interpret, and communicate local reputation performance, converting intelligence into actionable insights, strategies, and tacticsQuantify the impact of PACS communications campaigns and initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partnersRefine our global corporate reputation framework, ensuring local attributes and data points are accounted for within the questionnaireDesign and oversee ad hoc research based on macro events, campaigns, or issues, collaborating with Human Insights and other Enterprise Intelligence teams as neededDesign and develop visualizations and dashboards to support the needs of stakeholders and partners Requirements and Qualifications Skills

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field8+ years of experience in digital product management, digital transformation, or technology delivery within customer engagement or communications domainsDemonstrated experience delivering digital platforms or solutions that support public affairs, or communications functionsStrong understanding of data and analytics concepts, including the application of artificial intelligence and automation in business processesExperience working in a product-centric operating model, with a focus on user-centric design and continuous deliveryProven ability to partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into digital solutions with measurable outcomesExperience operating in a global, matrixed organization with alignment to enterprise standards and governanceStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levelsFamiliarity with regulatory, cultural, and market dynamics in Japan, particularly as they relate to communication and customer engagementDemonstrated ability to manage external vendors and drive delivery accountabilityCommitment to continuous learning, digital innovation, and building inclusive, collaborative environmentsData Storytelling: Ability to communicate complex data and insights through clear, compelling narrativesResearch and Data Management: Experience in managing research projects, data sources, and reporting systems to drive actionable insights Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, Change Management Facilitation, Communication Technology, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Customer Experience Optimization, Digital Product Management, Partner Management, Public Relations Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, Vendor Relationship Management
