The Opportunity
As an Accounting Professional you will get the opportunity to play a pivotal part in the Finance function at Hitachi Energy, supporting financial statement preparation across Southern African countries. How you'll make an impactPerform monthly reviews of financial resultsReview project results, including backlog executionPrepare journal entries for specific cost itemsPrepare the Monthly Management Accounts (MA) packPrepare audit files and support audit requirementsConduct in-depth analysis of business performance, compile information, and prepare reports to support management decision-makingPerform functional controlling activities, including budgeting, cost control, communication, charging mechanisms, tax compliance, and business partnering with relevant functionsSupport monthly and quarterly reporting and closing processesPrepare cost analyses, estimates, accruals, reclassifications, and ad hoc reportsMonitor performance indicators, identify trends, and analyze causes of variancesCollaborate closely with local and senior leadershipDemonstrate Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and supporting colleagues and the businessYou will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi Energy's core values safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business Your BackgroundPostgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA (SA) qualification preferred.3-5 years of experience in financial controlling or analysis; advanced FP&A operations experience is an advantageAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointSolid working knowledge of SAP FI/CO modulesStrong understanding of general accounting and financial reporting processesAbility to analyze complex financial data effectivelyProven analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to identify problems and implement solutionsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a high sense of ownership and a proactive, results-driven approach Apply now Current employees apply here
