The role focuses on profitable, scalable growth and developing a solid financial foundation that meets the requirements of regulators, investors, and partners. Coinmerce is operating in a regulated, fast-growing environment. The CFO ensures that the financial foundation, governance, and reporting quality are fit for scale and fully compliant with MiCAR and other applicable regulations.<br><br><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong><br><br><strong>Strategy & Capital Structure</strong><ul><li>Running a finance function that supports Coinmerce Group's growth plans and MiCAR requirements..</li><li>Maintaining relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and regulators.</li><li>Finance, Control & Reporting</li><li>Responsible for all financial processes, including accounting, controlling, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), and treasury.</li><li>Implementing scalable reporting structures (P&L, cash flow, KPI dashboards).</li><li>Ensuring compliance with IFRS/NL-GAAP, audit requirements, and European financial regulations.</li><li>Optimizing working capital, cash flow, and financial efficiency.</li></ul><br><strong>Leadership & Team Development</strong><ul><li>Managing a finance organization of approximately 20 FTE, including accounting, FP&A and treasury.</li><li>Creating a high-performance culture with clear responsibilities and growth paths.</li><li>Coaching and supporting second-line leaders (controllers, treasury) </li><li>Operational Excellence</li><li>Digitizing and automating financial processes (ERP, BI, crypto-accounting).</li><li>Improving data quality and reporting for faster and better-informed decision-making.</li></ul><br><strong>Experience and Skills</strong><ul><li>Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or strategy, of which at least 3 years in a CFO or VP Finance role within a scale-up or FinTech company.</li><li>Strong leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary finance teams (10–20 FTE).</li><li>In-depth knowledge of IFRS/NL-GAAP and multi-currency treasury management.</li><li>Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality and operational execution power.</li><li>Experience with supervisory structures (DNB, AFM, or comparable EU regulators) is a plus.</li><li>Experience with digital currencies, blockchain, or custody structures is a plus.</li></ul><br><strong>Education</strong><ul><li>MSc in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.</li><li>Registered Accountant (RA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or comparable qualification is a plus.</li></ul><br><strong>Personality and Leadership Style</strong><ul><li>Sharp with numbers, reliable, and able to make sound decisions fast.</li><li>Communicates clearly and secures buy-in from investors, auditors, and internal teams.</li><li>Balances strong financial thinking with a hands-on, pragmatic, scale-up mindset.</li><li>Brings structure, focus, and momentum to fast-moving environments; operates with low ego.</li></ul>
