Position Available: Project Manager
Location: Taiwan (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia
Position Summary The Project Manager at Rove Labs will lead and coordinate cross-functional projects involving product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and launch. You’ll manage timelines, resources, and communications across internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented leader with excellent organizational and communication skills. This role is primarily remote; however, on-site attendance at the Wugu Warehouse (New Taipei City) is required once per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables
• Define scope, goals, and resource requirements in alignment with company objectives
Cross-functional Coordination
• Serve as the primary liaison between Design, Production, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams
• Track progress and ensure alignment of tasks across departments
• Manage communications with overseas factories and vendors (Asia/Europe)
Troubleshooting Claims & Quality Issues
• Coordinate and resolve production or delivery claims with relevant stakeholders
• Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions in collaboration with suppliers
• Follow up on defect reports, ensure documentation is up to date, and track resolution outcomes
Time Zone Flexibility
• Adapt working hours as needed to accommodate real-time communication with global partners, including early morning or evening meetings
• Participate in regular meetings with the Canada team, including 5:00 AM (Taiwan time) meetings as required.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
• Anticipate project risks and actively manage resolution paths
• Coordinate adjustments to timelines or resources as needed
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate project documentation including milestones, BOMs, and quality checklists
• Provide regular status reports and updates to leadership
Process Improvement
• Evaluate workflows and contribute to refining project lifecycle systems (e.g., Asana, Airtable, ERP)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Design, Operations, or related field
• 3+ years experience in project management, preferably in furniture, consumer goods, or e-commerce
• Experience working with overseas suppliers or manufacturers is highly desirable
• Strong command of project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Excel)
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage competing priorities
• PMP certification is a plus
