Role Description
The Agreements Manager leads the development, negotiation, execution and management of SEAG2G’s Australian Government agency agreements. The role includes:
Working closely with the Partnerships Manager and Partnership Leads. Driving agreement streamlining initiatives. Ensuring compliance with DFAT, DT Global and agency policy requirements and legal parameters. Overseeing the effective delivery and monitoring of agreement milestones through associated work plans developed by other team members. Supporting strong stakeholder relationships and timely information flows. Continuous improvement of agreement management systems and processes. Employing a range of agreement types to engage Australian agencies, including Activity Schedules under Records of Understanding (ROUs), and simple and complex grant agreements.

Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in related discipline; legal and/or agreement and contracting experience strongly preferred. Minimum five years of relevant experience drafting and managing contracts, grants and agreements, preferably in a DFAT-funded development program. Fluency in DFAT procurement processes and policy requirements and the Australian Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills, ideally including supporting DFAT and/or Australian Government agency partners. Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal English language skills; attention to detail and editorial skills required. Strong project management and organisational skills; preferably experience with program MIS or project management software. Commitment to advancing gender equality, disability equity and rights, and social inclusion.

Flexibility and adaptability to work with multiple stakeholders and interrelate with various cultures and sectors. Highly developed interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and an instinct for negotiations and innovative solutions, working within complex institutional structures.
