Salary: £42,000 - 82,000 per year
Requirements: Strong experience with Scala and functional programming.Skilled in designing and consuming REST APIs and JSON validation and serialisation, including Play JSON and Circe.Proficient with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.Experience writing unit and integration tests using ScalaTest, Specs2, and Mockito, with TDD or BDD.Familiar with SBT for build automation and Git branching workflows.Good understanding of HTTP, web security best practices, and performance.Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation.Must be eligible for SC Clearance, with full right to work in the UK and no absence from the UK longer than 28 consecutive days in the last 5 years. We are partnering with one of the biggest technology consultancies in the UK, an award-winning business that works with major organisations globally. We are seeking multiple Senior Scala Developers to join a long-standing Public Sector customer, working on some of the biggest Government projects in the country. This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £60,000-£90,000 plus benefits. You can be based anywhere in the UK, provided you are comfortable attending a client office at least once a month, with typical sites including London, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, South Wales, and Birmingham.
