About this role

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements: We require a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific or engineering subject such as Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or Mathematics.We require experience in the systems engineering domain and product lifecycle.We require familiarity with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, MATLAB and/or Simulink.We require experience leading a team and making decisions from either a technical or managerial perspective.Applicants must, as a minimum, achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.Some roles may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, and applicants may need 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required. Responsibilities: We provide guidance to less experienced engineers and support team members wellbeing and career development.We understand the scope, size and time phasing of packages of work and use this to facilitate and contribute to project success.We assess the team size and skillset required, and provide regular status updates and recommendations on resourcing requirements to the project and functional engineering manager.We support the business by creating new estimates for bids and maintaining the schedule and budget for ongoing projects.We collaborate with Engineering Project Managers to understand near-term and longer-term work plans.We lead a team of highly capable engineers to deliver against plans and estimates.
