The Opportunity

As a Senior I&C Engineer, you'll play an important role in our Joint Design Office Instrumentation and Control team. You'll lead modifications across the Siemens SPPA-T2000 platform, helping to support commissioning activities and making sure critical plant systems are ready for operation. You'll also help develop engineers within the team, sharing your knowledge and experience.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you'll be based full-time on-site at #HPC. You'll work alongside EDF and Siemens specialists on one of the world's largest engineering projects, helping support key commissioning milestones and technical changes as the station moves closer to operation.

This is a chance to work on technology that's new to the UK while helping drive the transition towards An Electric Britain. From design changes and system testing to configuration management and technical leadership, you'll have a direct impact on the success of Hinkley Point C and the future of nuclear generation.

Working with complex Instrumentation and Control systems in industrial environmentsUsing Siemens SPPA-T2000 technology in an engineering environmentAssessing the impact of hardware and software modifications to control systemsApplying a detailed understanding of process signals, logic processing and alarm managementWorking within structured engineering, quality and configuration management processesHolding a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or offering equivalent industry experience

What You'll Be Doing

Leading on-site modifications across the Siemens SPPA-T2000 Standard I&C platformManaging impact assessments, engineering changes and configuration control activitiesOverseeing I&C programming activities and design consistency checksSupporting verification, validation and functional testing before design releasesMentoring engineers and working closely with commissioning teams and Siemens specialists
