About this role
As a Field Service Electronics/Electrical Technician, a typical day might include the following:
• Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot problems of high complexity to the component level on SEL products. • Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and products to ensure product quality and integrity. • Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel. • Partner with other divisions to satisfy the needs of our customers. This job might be for you if:
• You have a two-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent. • You have a strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics. • You are willing to travel up to 75% of the time. • You enjoy working in an electronics lab work environment. • You enjoy solving complex problems alongside your team. Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing. • Working knowledge of structured programming. • Process improvement experience. Physical Requirements
• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally • Sit and stand for at least 8 hours • Vision correctable to 20/30 or better • Ability to differentiate color • Use of computer keyboard devices • Reach, bend, and twist
