Job Description SUMMARY:
The Assistant Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field is responsible for assisting with all phases of the Division I Cross Country and Track and Field programs at the University of Richmond. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: coaching and student-athlete skill development, recruiting, administrative tasks related to the operation of the program, and providing a positive collegiate experience for student-athletes.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT: Regular travel is required (recruiting and team travel)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to lead/manage others • Effective interpersonal skills • Strong verbal communication and listening skills • Strong understanding of all aspects of social media is preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required • Demonstrated expertise in coaching Cross Country/Track and Field is required • Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and a clean driving record, required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree required • Master's Degree preferred • 2-4 years previous experience • Previous coaching on the collegiate level preferred
WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm; 38.75 hours per week. Travel required
SALARY STRUCTURE: Pay Grade AC (Hiring Range $23,660.00 to $61,830.00 annually)
