Summary IJM is seeking a Sustainability Executive to support the Group's sustainability agenda, contribute to climate strategy execution, ESG data management, and regulatory-aligned reporting. This role offers cross-functional collaboration opportunity, hands-on experience on sustainability, multi-sector exposure (Construction, Property, Industry and Infrastructure) and opportunity working with experienced multi-disciplinary team. Job Description Key Responsibilities Strategy & Execution Support the execution and continuous enhancement of the Group's Sustainability Strategy, including implementation of the Sustainability Roadmap and Climate Strategy. Track progress against sustainability targets and flag gaps or risks to relevant stakeholders. Support Group-wide sustainability-related capacity building and training. Climate & GHG Emissions Reporting Support reporting of the Group's Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), aligned to the GHG Protocol. Assist in emissions factor selection, boundary setting, and year-on-year data reconciliation. Assist in assessing, monitoring and reporting of climate-related risks and opportunities, aligned to the IFRS S2 Standard, including financial quantification of climate-related impacts. Sustainability Disclosures & Reporting Support preparation of the Group’s Sustainability Statement and Annual Report, in line with Bursa Malaysia MMLR, NSRF, IFRS S1 & S2, SASB, GRI and UN SDGs. Support the alignment to ESG rating frameworks (i.e. FTSE4Good, CDP, MSCI, S&P). Assist in peer benchmarking and keeping abreast with evolving sustainability-related developments. Data & System Support system integration for data collection to collect and validate sustainability-related data (e.g., supply chain, energy, water, waste, emissions). Maintain data integrity and traceability for audit and disclosure purposes. Stakeholder Engagement Support communication with business divisions and functions to formulate and deliver sustainability initiatives and align on sustainability direction. Act as a coordination point between business divisions and the sustainability team to ensure consistent data collection and initiative rollout. Key Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business, accounting/finance. Coursework/projects or certifications related to sustainability or environmental science is an advantage. 0-3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental or related engagements. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Skill & Attribute Genuinely passionate about sustainability and strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving sustainability landscape. Proactive, problem-solver, critical thinker, resourceful, agile. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels. High attention to detail, particularly in data handling and reporting accuracy. Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards (i.e. IFRS S1 & S2, GRI, SASB, CDP) is an advantage.
