About the role:
Arts & Humanities is seeking to appoint an Alumni & Stakeholder Engagement Manager to develop and implement a dynamic programme of events, volunteering opportunities and communications, to support and engage our diverse global alumni community, and to develop philanthropic opportunity where relevant. Supporting the strategic ambitions of Arts & Humanities, this role sits within the Faculty Engagement function with a dotted line to the Head of Alumni Relations within the central Alumni Relations function, Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (P&A)
As Alumni & Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will lead on all aspects of the Faculty’s Alumni Relations Programme, working closely with academics, Faculty and P&A colleagues to identify meaningful opportunities for alumni to connect, enabling them to connect with lifelong learning opportunities, and contributing to the student experience. The role would be suitable for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of alumni engagement strategies, the ability to multitask and a drive for service improvements.
As a significantly place-/relationship-focussed role, we expect the postholder to spend a significant proportion of their time on campus. While flexible / hybrid working will be possible, we expect the postholder to need to attend campus no less than three days per week on average, adopting a flexible approach as befits the needs of the role. This role will require the postholder to adopt a flexible approach to work, including willingness to attend a significant number of commitments outside of office hours, and to travel internationally when required.
This role is full time (35hrs) and you will be offered an indefinite contract

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
Educated to degree level, or with relevant professional experience Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills; confident in working with stakeholders from all backgrounds and levels of seniority. A flair for creating engagements that are interesting, useful and enjoyable for all parties. Experience of strategic planning and the ability to follow through with delivery (on time and on budget) with high attention to detail. Ability to robustly evaluate activities against stated aims, budgets and strategy; and the fortitude to recommend changes in direction where necessary. Ability to influence and collaborate productively with a range of internal and external stakeholders and bring others along with new ideas and innovations Exceptional communication skills across all platforms and channels and familiarity with CRM management, such as Raiser’s Edge or other systems. Ability to work under own initiative, think creatively and solve problems when they arise, and to manage time and priorities effectively.
