About this role

We are looking for detail-oriented candidates to join us as Finance Interns within our Finance Academy and learn all about international corporate finance. From mastering invoice management to data validation and cross-team collaboration, you will be taught the core aspects of financial operations. Please note : Applicants must reside in or near Niš to qualify for our Academy. Remote work applications will not be considered. The role As a Finance Intern, you will be provided with training material, coursework and practical experience that will form the basis of our intensive Finance Academy program. This will level up your basic accounting skills with real-world application and experience. The course will cover and train you in essential day-to-day operations across our Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and financial reporting teams. In addition to theoretical learning, the course will offer opportunities to participate in Q&A sessions, discussions, applied learning and work groups with our senior finance specialists. You will be actively involved in real-world tasks—such as posting invoices in Business Central and following up on any differences with suppliers, reconciling bank transactions, preparing customer invoices, following up on outstanding payments, recording monthly costs and prepayments, and checking that account balances are correct and properly reconciled in Business Central. This role will give you the opportunity to work with real accounting processes and apply what you have learned in practice from the start. Successful completion of the internship may result in an offer of a full-time position with Better Collective as a Procure-to-Pay or Order-to-Cash Assistant, or as a Financial Controlling Assistant. Responsibilities Reviewing the course content in guided self-study; Participating in skills and knowledge lessons led by our fantastic specialists ; Participating in any group meetings and discussions; Completing the final skills and learning evaluations. Desired skill set We’re looking for ambitious and proactive individuals with a passion for finance and accounting. You are a motivated self-starter with a natural curiosity and strong problem-solving skills. You enjoy working with numbers and crunching data, but you also understand the importance of communication when following up with vendors or collaborating with different internal teams. Required qualifications Fluent in English, accompanied by good communication skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail; Strong in Excel and Google Sheets; Solid foundational understanding of accounting principles; Enthusiasm for learning new financial software.
