For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.

As a Manager – Technical Sales, you will provide strategic direction and progressive leadership in the assigned technical product category to sales vertical leadership. You will manage a team of project and/or sales specialists that sell technical services, products, and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Create, manage, and promote execution of technical product sales, including execution of objectives and sales goals. • Manage a team that specifies products to meet customer requirements and needs. • Ensure that the team delivers compelling technical presentations that drive sales. • Partner with sales vertical leadership to develop comprehensive sales plans and forecasts to identify and produce a steady pipeline of prospects. • Utilize technical acumen to educate the team on products, competitors, and prospects. • Nurture relationships with key customers and suppliers. • Partner with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the product roadmap.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree –Engineering or Business • Sales experience in related industry (5-7 years) • Strong computer skills • Excellent communication skills • Electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor (3-5 years) • Management of staff and programs (3 years) • Ability travel 25% - 50%
