ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Tints the materials according to the given recipe. Reports mistakes if they occur. Retains samples and keeps batch data for future reference. Keeps workplace and surrounding areas tidy. Keeps all machinery (facility equipment) clean and in working condition. Reports faulty equipment to Blending Supervisor / Facility Manager. Maintains safe operating procedures through complete knowledge of safety rules and lab procedures. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with those in their line of work. Follows all waste management procedures. Reworks / adjusts returned materials from customers, under instruction from Blender II or III. Operates and maintains the Corob / Dromont tinting machine. Movement of raw materials between the warehouse and colour laboratory. May be involved in deliveries to the customer (Facility dependent) Other tasks as given by Blender II, Blender III, Blending Supervisor or Facility Manager. POSITION CHALLENGES: Ensuring safety of all operations Respect planning, directives and deadlines Communicating effectively with coworkersand understanding their requirements Responsible for ensuring the quality of the colours, stains, solvent and waterborne pigment lacquer.
