About this role
The Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in our project-based initiatives, working collaboratively with diverse teams to enhance our business and financial processes.
• Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements. • Work closely with various departments and business units to understand their unique financial needs and challenges. • Document new business processes and create clear, concise work instructions for efficient implementation. • Assist in developing and implementing robust metrics and reporting systems to track financial performance. • Present findings and progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication. • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices. • Collaborate with the IT team to enhance our information systems capabilities, especially in Finance. • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process automation. • Support the Finance team in their day-to-day operations and special projects as needed. • Comply with all NOV Company policies, including HSE guidelines, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. • Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably with a focus on process improvement. • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. • Experience with database systems (SQL, Snowflake) and ERP systems (Oracle, JDE, SAP) is essential. • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and collaborate with diverse teams. • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying innovative solutions. • Comfortable presenting complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business needs.
