The Application Engineer provides technical bid support to Sales and Proposals. The role ensures that FGS products are applied within design and performance specifications, aligned with engineering principles, applicable codes, and operational feasibility. The position is responsible for technical governance, resource planning, efficiency improvements, and resolving complex technical and commercial challenges while ensuring compliance with NOV ethics and quality standards. Also provides training and guidance to FGS Team as needed.

• Review customer requirements and technical outputs to ensure products are applied within safe and specified limits. • Work with Sales and Proposals team to provide resolution to technical issues. • Drive efficiency improvement initiatives to reduce lead time and enhance deliverable quality. • Ensure technical commitments made at bid stage are executable by Operations. • Review new RFQs and recommend technically compliant and optimized product solutions. • Provide expert technical guidance on codes, standards, and product selection. • Perform engineering calculations including pipe properties, hydraulic analysis, design verification, and sizing, stress analysis. • Prepare technical tender packages including clarifications and deviations. • Deliver technical training to employees, distributors, and customers. • Support Sales through technical presentations and customer visits. • Develop and maintain product technical literature/SOPs aligned with QC and manufacturing capabilities. • Visit project sites when required to resolve technical issues and strengthen customer relationships.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

• Engineering experience on international projects. • Strong knowledge of Composites (fiberglass piping systems) and related standards highly desirable. • Strong mechanical engineering working knowledge • Hydraulic analysis and engineering calculations. • 5+ years of Engineering experience in handling international projects.

Desirable Requirements:

• Technical bid/proposal experience. • Quality Control/ Testing in Fiberglass industry. • Piping stress analysis highly desirable • Customer-facing technical support. • Technical training and presentation experience. • Experience working with manufacturing and QC teams.
