About this role
MAJOR FUNCTION: Non-licensed person responsible for continuously observing and interpreting patients’ cardiac rhythms (EKG/ECG) and ensuring appropriate and timely alerts / responses to any alarms. Maintains and reports data in a timely manner. Assists in various clerical and communication functions on the nursing unit. Must be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures of the unit & health system. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience:
• High School graduate or equivalent. • Previous monitor tech experience preferred. Certification/Licensure:
• Certified Telemetry Technician certification preferred. • Successful Dysrhythmia course completion required. Knowledge & Skills:
• Able to read, write and speak English.
