JD for Senior Advanced Systems/Projects Engineer Role: Overall Project/Technical Lead Reporting to Program/Project Manager Travel: 40-50% to site Roles and Responsibilities:
• To take responsibility for Overall Technical/Engineering Lead in the project which has Large Gas Detection & third-party PLC system • Ownership to deliver technically correct solutions to customers within agreed schedule and budget • Work closely with all the stakeholders both Internal & external • Understand the customer’s project Specifications, RFQ, Architecture, etc., • To develop Functional Design Specification/ Design specs / Architecture / BOM • To Independently carry out Gas Detection System Hardware and Software Detail Design Engineering on third-party PLC & SCADA. Development, Testing, Integration of Hardware, FAT with customer as per project duration, Site Installation, loop testing, Commissioning, and handover • To develop Typical / Templates for GD & LD systems and develop project specific standards • To read, understand design drawings, Control Narratives, Logic diagrams, etc. • Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities • Ensure that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process and ensure the work completion by engaging pool of engineers • Site visit during engineering, monitor site progress, participate in customer meetings, pre-commissioning, commissioning and hand over the project to customer / LSS team. • Ensure teamwork (including third-party engineering team) in compliance with quality / safety procedures. Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation • Ensure common methods, techniques, tools and products as agreed by the industrial standards mainly in Semicon Fab environment • Ensures that the implementation of solution is reviewed with respect to project standards and quality documents • Ensure that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the customer by doing thorough quality checks • Usage of engineering tools for optimization of Engineering man hours Technical Skills: Should have minimum 12-15 years of hands-on experience in the below skills and should have worked as Lead/Overall Lead for Large projects (>10K IOs) for atleast 5 years
• DCS / Safety PLC / PLC (Rockwell, Siemens) – Design, Detail engineering, Testing and Commissioning • Third party systems interface – Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC (UA, DA, HDA, A&E), ProfiNet, Profibus and similar. • HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus • Advanced L2/L3 nodes – Alarm, History, Asset, Network Management • Networking Knowledge: TCP/IP protocols, Switch/Router and domain controller configurations. • Virtualization of control nodes – added advantage • Domain knowledge – Fire & Gas detection systems, PV Solar/Semicon • Working experience with large EPC/Customers like L&T, Technip, EIL, Tecnimont, RIL, IOCL, Tata etc Behavioral Skills:
• Execute, Plan & deliver as per commitments, • Team player with good command on Oral + Written communication in English. • Strong ability to demonstrate and guide the team to acquire technical skills and competencies including self. • Strong Customer Handling capabilities for Global projects
