This role supports patient access operations at the Riley Outpatient Center, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for patients from initial contact through appointment scheduling and check-in processes. Schedule
• Monday–Friday • Flexible start times: • 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Riley Outpatient Center Key Responsibilities
• Manage incoming faxes, ensuring all required information is complete and accurately routed • Schedule appointments for both new and established patients • Follow up with patients and families to confirm appointment details and send new patient packets • Communicate effectively with team members to clarify workflows and patient needs • Facilitate patient flow from point of entry to final destination in a timely and professional manner • Collect and verify patient demographic and financial information to ensure accurate records and optimal reimbursement • Explain department/hospital policies, procedures, and charges to patients • Enter charges and validate information within appropriate systems • Collect required payments • Answer incoming calls and appropriately direct patients and visitors Benchmarks for Success

• Scheduling and administrative experience • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Effective verbal and written communication • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting. • Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred. • Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred. Required Skills
• High School Diploma/GED is required. • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
