About this role
• The Lead Security will be entrusted with comprehensive responsibilities that ensure the integrity and safety of the entire thermal power facility. • These include: • Developing and implementing strategic security policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the thermal power industry, ensuring alignment with Adani’s corporate governance and compliance requirements. • Leading a multidisciplinary security team, including security officers, surveillance operators, and emergency response personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement. • Conducting thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and mitigate them proactively by deploying advanced security technologies and physical controls. • Overseeing access control systems to safeguard critical infrastructure and ensuring that all personnel, contractors, and visitors adhere to security protocols without impeding operational efficiency. • Coordinating with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services to establish strong partnerships and effective response mechanisms during incidents or emergencies. • Managing incident response planning and execution, including drills, investigations, and reporting, to minimize impact and facilitate swift resolution of security breaches or threats. • Ensuring compliance with national and international safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry best practices, incorporating these standards into daily security operations and audits. • Spearheading employee training programs on security awareness, emergency preparedness, and behavioral safety to enhance the overall security posture and embed a risk-conscious culture. • Collaborating closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate physical and cyber security strategies, safeguarding sensitive operational data and control systems against evolving threats. • Preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to optimize security investments and resource allocation. • Driving continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging security technologies, trends, and legislative changes, advocating for innovative solutions to maintain Adani’s leadership in security excellence. • Championing diversity and inclusion within the security team by promoting equitable opportunities and respect for all team members. • Ensuring alignment of security objectives with Adani’s sustainability goals by adopting environmentally responsible security practices and technologies. • Managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships related to security equipment, services, and maintenance, optimizing cost-efficiency without compromising quality. • Acting as the primary point of contact for all security-related audits, inspections, and compliance checks, facilitating smooth and transparent evaluations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Engineering, Criminal Justice, or related discipline - Advanced degrees or diplomas in security, risk management, or industrial safety will be an advantage • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in security management within the Thermal Power or heavy industrial sectors • Proven track record of managing large-scale security teams and implementing security systems in high-risk environments • Experience in compliance with industrial safety and regulatory standards relevant to power plants
