For more information visit www.pxlimited.com The Opportunity We are now recruiting for a Permit Co-Ordinator to join our TeesRep Site The Permit Co-Ordinator is an active member of the Tees REP Operations Department. In this role you will provide consistency in approach, understand actions between Operations, E&M, contractors and third parties in planning, implementing, and controlling safe systems of work processes, procedures and documentation. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. • Responsible for the effective planning, delivery, control and communication to enable Safety Document production. • In line with SHE, business, budgetary, quality & legislative requirements, organise the production of Safety Documents for work. • Drive and actively contribute to the effective and consistent management of the work control process at Tees REP, from an Operation’s and E&M perspective. • Discuss, agree, and communicate the timing of plant release for maintenance, factoring in known plant defects and conditions. • To be recognised as a focal point in providing professional knowledge and advice on the work control process • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with other px personnel, within the Operations and E&M Department. To extend this to all site customers, visitors and external relationships including industry and professional forum representation and local community groups • To be fully conversant with px Safe Working Procedures and following relevant training, achieve and maintain Senior Authorised Person Status, including Low Voltage authorisation. Following relevant High Voltage training to be authorised to undertake High Voltage isolations and switching activities on site. • To portray the role of Permit Co-ordinator in a positive and professional manner • Regularly monitor work to ensure compliance with Safety Document conditions to satisfy that the safe system of work described by the Safety Document is not compromised. • Be proactive in identification, resolution and reporting of issues that may compromise safety or reliability, working with Tees REP colleagues, third parties and service providers to deliver safe operations. • Maintain and develop personal competence completing required development ensuring awareness of current procedures, rules and regulations that apply to responsibilities • Participate in behavioural safety engagements, Safety Document audits & work site inspections in line with px Safe Working Practices
