Job Purpose: The Transport Operations Manager is responsible for leading local distribution, daily transport planning, and fleet operations to ensure efficient, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of transport services. The role focuses on optimizing transport capacity, driving operational performance, leading the transport team, and ensuring high levels of customer service while supporting the achievement of business objectives.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead and manage daily transport operations, ensuring efficient planning and execution of local distribution activities. • Oversee fleet operations and transport capacity, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization, service quality, and cost efficiency. • Ensure adequate transport capacity to meet customer demand while effectively managing operational challenges and service disruptions. • Monitor and drive operational KPIs to ensure compliance with customer commitments and business objectives. • Manage customer relationships, ensuring high levels of service, customer satisfaction, and long term partnership development. • Optimize transport planning, routing, and scheduling to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with transport regulations, company standards, and operational procedures.
Wage (gross) 2 260 EUR/month from 2 260 EUR Gross/month + Yearly bonus (A final salary package will be the subject of negotiations based on the candidate‘s experience)
Language skills English - Advanced (C1)
Personality requirements and skills • Proven experience in transport operations, distribution, fleet management, or logistics, including people management. • Strong understanding of transport planning, routing, capacity management, and fleet operations. • Experience managing operational KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives. • Good knowledge of transport regulations and road transportation operations. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage teams. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer focused mindset. • Fluent English, both written and spoken. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
