Staff Accountant
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support trust accounting operations and general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes. The ideal candidate will also assist with month and year-end closing, reporting, account and variance analysis, and ensuring accuracy and completeness across all accounting functions.
What You’ll Do: As a Finance and Accounting Analyst, your role will consist of supporting trust accounting, accounting analysis, acquisition finance and accounting support. You’ll also be responsible for: • Assisting with trust accounting and supporting monthly closing processes. • Preparing Journal entries and performing account reconciliations. • Processing wire transfers and distributions under supervision. • Completing and reviewing journal entries and supporting documentation. • Reviewing general ledger activity for completeness and accuracy. • Analyzing historical financial statements and operating results of acquisition prospects.
Qualifications: What It Takes: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical finance or accounting professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and up to three years of relevant experience. This individual possesses strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Being a proactive problem-solver who can build strong relationships across departments, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to acquisition due diligence, financial modeling, and integration efforts.
In addition, you should have: • Experience that demonstrates the ability to support strategic planning at a corporate level • High level of Knowledge with ERP systems, Power BI, SQL, or other reporting tools. • Poses a continuous improvement mindset focused on enhancing processes, internal controls and reporting quality. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. • Solution-oriented critical thinking is required to establish sustainable problem solving • Strong work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation and organization
