Senior Data Advisor

Enterprise Data Stewardship requires a dedicated Senior Data Advisor to support the Firm Financials & Firm Assets (FFA) domain across enterprise change initiatives. Given the complexity, visibility, and cross-functional nature of this work, a seasoned senior steward is needed to execute on stewardship deliverables, influence stakeholders across the enterprise, and represent FFA primary steward priorities and outcomes. This role will also serve as the key stakeholder from Enterprise Data Steward to analytics and reporting functions at the firm. This role drives the execution of the organization's enterprise data stewardship strategy and operating model and is accountable for data stewardship commitments across Firm Financials & Firm Assets (FFA) data domain. They partner across Data Platforms, Digital, and key business and reporting stakeholders to enable a sustainable pipeline of data to meet FFA's current and future needs. They influence outcomes across the Firm on behalf of the organization for their specific areas of enterprise data stewardship responsibility. What You Will Do: • Drive essential senior steward execution: • Accountable for the of their area(s) of ownership, staying aligned with the overall Data Strategy and Firm Plan; influences and contributes to the prioritization of firm data needs by partnering across the enterprise. Is recognized as a data steward expert and is well-connected with industry best practices and thought partners • Steward Lead Collibra approvals, EDSC participation, Collibra Super User Group membership
• Stakeholder management: • Develop and manage relationships with Business Data Solutions Data Advisors, and as needed, senior leaders across the organization to lead and contribute to key initiatives as the senior primary Enterprise Data Steward representative for the Firm Financials and Firm Assets (FFA) across strategic change efforts, • Be a critical enabler of furthering strong primary stewardship relationships across the enterprise, with dedicated responsibility of strengthening analytics and reporting functions across the enterprise to ensure trusted data, effective governance, regulatory compliance, and business understanding of critical data elements used in reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure consistent and aligned stewardship outcomes across enterprise-scale transformation initiatives: by establishing measurable stewardship outcomes, delivery timelines, and alignment across major transformation efforts requiring FFA data. • Be a change agent for data literacy; lead and contribute to change management, communication, training, and education initiatives.

Position Requirements: What Experience You Need: • Highly experienced in data stewardship with 7+ years of experience required & 10+ preferred in data stewardship or related field (e.g. data governance, data management, or data strategy). • Advanced level understanding of data and analytics. • Leading data stewardship delivery in a matrixed environment on large governance projects. • Preference to candidates with knowledge of data governance best practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets. • Experience in Wealth Management / Financial Services industry, functional and/or technical area of expertise preferred. • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship skills; ability to influence without authority. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving, decision making, and strategic thinking skills. • Comfortable leading and working through ambiguous situations to define precise requirements and priorities and drive actionable outcomes. • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Salary Information: Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism.
