Job Description General Role
Provide technical support in the development and production of military soft goods such as upholstery, cushions and parachutes.
Specific Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of aircraft and military vehicle seating upholstery and cushions Train Production department leads in the operation of these industrial sewing machines: Binding machine, Serger, Walking Foot, Double Needle, Class 7 and Zig Zag Establish time standards Develop flat patterns and templates for soft goods Work with quality to resolve production issues and ensure customer satisfaction Able to read and interpret engineering drawings as they pertain to sewing Develop processes for cutting and bonding non-rigid polyurethane foams Program fabric cutters and sewing machines
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Skills 2+ years of manufacturing expierence Sewing knowledge Military standards for sewing materials Manufacturing using contact adhesives Programming lasers and CNC fabric cutters using CAD software (i.e. Creo, PTC, AutoCAD) Experience building and maintaining tooling Troubleshoot mechanical issues and adjust machine parameters Experience setting up and operating industrial sewing machines Reading and interpreting blueprints / engineering drawings
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Skills Associates Degree Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Excel to perform entry-level calculations Demonstrated ability in CAD or other programming applications to perform develop patterns and templates Experience with LEAN Manufacturing Principles Commitment to developing talent
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79327 - $126924
