About this role

Summary Baylor College of Medicine's Ambulatory Operations Team is seeking a BCM Temporary - Medical Assistant to assist with administering flu vaccines this flu season. The schedule will vary, but may be 2-3 days per week and approximately 10-20 hours per week. The vaccine clinics will take place at multiple locations on campus and offsite. This is a temporary position and is not eligible for benefits. The maximum assignment length is 3 months. Job Purpose Performs patient care responsibilities and provides clerical/administrative support in a clinical setting. Job Duties Administers flu vaccines in a high-volume environment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training program through an accredited institution. No experience required. Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA,,AAH AAMP, or NPS). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Comfortable administering vaccines. Work Authorization Requirement: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
