About this role
Job Purpose To focus on designing, building, and maintaining BI solutions using various technologies, IT infrastructure and systems that support business intelligence initiatives within an organization. Works closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data engineers and data scientists to ensure that data is collected, stored, and transformed into actionable insights from medium business focused solutions to complex enterprise solutions. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain medium to complex BI sollutions across multiple data sources, using the standard enterprise technology infrastructure Design data models, and the data integration processes. Create and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows using various sources, ensuring the data is cleansed and loaded accurately Review other BI Developer solutions for accuracy Conduct research into new methodologies for BI Development Use database query tools and data scheduling tools (e.g., Informatica, Microsoft SSIS), and scripting languages to build and optimize data pipelines Design and maintain data warehouse structures that efficiently store and organize large volumes of data. Design the schema, define tables, and establish relationships between data entities. Provide the Mechanisms to Enable data quality, integrity, and security within the data warehouse for accurate reporting Conduct Data provisioning using database tools or using Data Virtualization Technology for complex solutions and technologies Use tools to profile data and look for data inconsistencies, data types and data quality that may impact ingestion and provisioning Deliver multiple BI Use Case solutions, on an ongoing long term basis within a squad to meet business requirements for medium to complex solutions Provide insights through Reports and Dashboards for business value Create visualizations, virtual marts and reports for business stakeholders using complex and enterprise data models Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Essential Certifications DMBok certification ( Data Management Body of Knowledge) Preferred Certifications DMBok certification ( Data Management Body of Knowledge) Certification in relevant BI tool set Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Business Intelligence Minimum Experience Level 5+ years - BI Developer Technical / Professional Knowledge Administrative procedures and systems Banking knowledge Banking procedures Business principles Business terms and definitions Data analysis Governance, Risk and Controls Microsoft Office Relevant regulatory knowledge Relevant software and systems knowledge Business writing skills Cluster Specific Operational Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite - Advanced BI tools -Advanced DBMS (database management systems) Advanced Coding and Debugging- Advanced Data story telling (advanced ) Data profiling - intermediate Database Query advanced Data Virtualization understanding advanced Data Visualization design and build advanced Relevant Cloud Technologies - intermediate --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at +27 860 555 566
