Job Summary This role combines customer-facing solution architecture with technical leadership responsibilities for designing and positioning NetApp Managed Services. The individual will partner with sales teams, customers, and delivery organizations to assess customer environments, architect Managed Services solutions, support strategic opportunities, and ensure successful transition to service delivery. Key Responsibilities Technical Lead Responsibilities Act as a Managed Services subject matter expert for sales teams, customers, and internal stakeholders. Lead technical discovery activities to understand customer environments, operational requirements, and business objectives. Analyze infrastructure, capacity, utilization, and operational data to support solution design and service transitions. Collaborate with customers to define technical, operational, and business requirements for Managed Services engagements. Drive automation, operational efficiency, and service optimization discussions as part of solution design. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the sales cycle and transition to delivery. Managed Services Solution Architect Responsibilities Design end-to-end Managed Services architectures, including storage, cloud, monitoring, automation, security, and operational processes. Assess customer environments using discovery tools, operational data, and stakeholder interviews to determine service requirements and readiness. Develop transition strategies for customers moving from self-managed environments or incumbent managed service providers. Define security, access, connectivity, monitoring, and tooling requirements required to support successful service delivery. Evaluate customer technologies, operational practices, and third-party tools to ensure compatibility with NetApp Managed Services. Work closely with sales teams to support solution proposals, Managed Services pricing, and customer presentations. Design service management frameworks including incident management, change management, ticketing integration, CMDB alignment, and operational governance. Job Requirements ITIL v4 Certification and practical experience with ITIL-based service management processes. Deep NetApp technical expertise (ONTAP, StorageGRID, SnapCenter, Keystone, BlueXP, etc.). Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, and hybrid cloud architectures. Experience with customer discovery, infrastructure assessments, and operational readiness evaluations. Knowledge of security, remote management, access controls, and compliance requirements in enterprise environments. Experience with ITSM platforms, monitoring tools, and service integration frameworks. Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and supportable Managed Services solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Experience Experience in Managed Services architecture, consulting, or delivery for enterprise customers. Experience transitioning customers from self-managed environments or third-party managed service providers. Knowledge of data protection, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience solutions. Familiarity with infrastructure discovery, monitoring, and performance analysis tools. TOGAF or similar architecture certification (optional but desirable). Education and Experience Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience. Compensation: The target salary range for this position is 170,000 - 253,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
