We are seeking a business-oriented and highly organized Local IT Manager to lead technology operations across five Continental entities in Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT landscape across the region, ensuring the reliable delivery of IT services, and managing a small team of IT professionals. You will work closely with regional and global stakeholders to support business objectives, drive operational excellence, and coordinate IT initiatives across multiple countries and time zones.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and leadership capabilities. You will play a key role in enhancing service quality, optimizing IT operations, and fostering innovation, while ensuring compliance with corporate standards and maintaining the highest levels of cybersecurity, governance, and regulatory compliance across all markets.
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across five continental organizations, including servers, networks, workstations, and telecommunications systems, ensuring consistency and compliance across all regional locationsLead, mentor, and support a small IT team while coordinating technical resources and support across Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and SingaporeOversee technical support operations and help desk functions across all regional markets to ensure timely resolution of user issues, accounting for multiple time zonesDevelop and manage IT budgets across the regional organization, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and vendor management across multiple countriesAnalyze system performance across all regional locations and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reliabilityPlan, execute, and oversee IT projects aligned with organizational objectives across all five continental marketsEnsure compliance with IT security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards specific to each regional market (Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore)Monitor and troubleshoot network and system issues across all regional locations, implementing preventive measures and coordinating with local IT teamsProvide strategic IT guidance to regional management and support business continuity planning across all marketsMaintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation across all regional organizationsEvaluate and manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers across multiple countries, ensuring service level agreements are met regionallyCoordinate cross-regional IT initiatives and ensure knowledge sharing among teams across all five continental locations
**Required Skills and Experience:**
5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experienceProven experience managing IT teams in small to mid-sized organizationsStrong knowledge of network administration, server management, and system securityExperience with IT service delivery and technical support operationsProficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issuesDemonstrated ability to manage IT budgets and vendor relationshipsStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with IT documentation and asset management**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
