Shape the utilities market of the future with us! The System Engineer will be responsible for managing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure. This role involves Kubernetes-based application support, cloud environment management, project deployments (including HA & DR setups), and ensuring SLA compliance for enterprise-scale AMI projects. What is the role about? <h3>Role Summary:</h3> Level 3 Support end to end provides expert-level technical and manufacturer support, responsible for resolving complex, critical issues and supporting backend, cloud, and infrastructure operations across platforms. Key Responsibilities <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Perform deep root cause analysis for complex technical issues.</li><li>Develop, test, and deliver fixes, patches, hotfixes, and upgrades.</li><li>Handle security, performance, scalability, and reliability issues.</li><li>Support major incidents, outages, and critical escalations within SLAs.</li><li>Maintain product documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base.</li><li>Support platform evolution, enhancements, and release activities.</li></ul>Technical Support & Operations (L3 end to end) <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Provide L3 end to end support for application backend and cloud-related issues.</li><li>Analyze, debug, and resolve client-reported issues within defined SLAs.</li><li>Handle customer issues through calls and end-to-end incident workflows.</li><li>Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential risks.</li><li>Implement preventive measures and performance optimizations.</li><li>Develop scripts to support operational tasks and automation needs.</li></ul>Typical Technical Tasks <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Perform code-level analysis and debugging.</li><li>Conduct advanced system, OS, and network troubleshooting.</li><li>Deploy security patches and emergency hotfixes.</li><li>Resolve High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) issues.</li><li>Coordinate with development teams and OEMs when required.</li></ul>Project Deployment & Implementation <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Design and plan network and application architectures.</li><li>Prepare cloud environments and deploy HA and DC-DR setups.</li><li>Deploy, manage, and support Kubernetes clusters and applications.</li><li>Manage Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project deployments.</li><li>Automate server-side deployment and operational processes.</li><li>Ensure timely issue resolution to avoid SLA breaches.</li></ul>Cloud & Infrastructure Management <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Deploy, manage, and maintain VM-based cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Tata, NTT, or equivalent).</li><li>Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and cost.</li><li>Manage cloud access, permissions, and RBAC policies.</li><li>Create and manage cloud and network resources as per project needs.</li><li>Maintain on-premises server and network infrastructure.</li><li>Support UAT, staging, and production environments.</li></ul> Required skills and qualifications <h2>Required skills and Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field</li><li>Strong experience with Kubernetes cluster deployment and troubleshooting</li><li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)</li><li>Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals</li><li>Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, or similar)</li><li>Understanding of HA, DR, and enterprise deployment architectures</li><li>Familiarity with SLA-driven support environments</li></ul> Preferred skills and qualifications <h2>Preferred Skills:</h2><ul><li>Experience with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems</li><li>Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments</li><li>Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools</li><li>Experience working in utility or large-scale infrastructure projects</li></ul>
