Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:
Description:
• Manages direct reports including but not limited to: delegation of work, day to day supervision, coaching, modelling, providing feedback to maximize quality service to clients, identifying training requirements, conducting performance appraisals, etc.
• Provides clinical leadership and direction to staff to meet agency standards.
• Participates in the recruitment and selection of employees and provides orientation and ongoing training for the team.
• Support staff to meet their targets
• Reviews interventions and documentation to ensure client treatment plans are established, worked on and measured on a regular basis
• Assists employees in resolving performance problems, including developing improvement plans with clear objectives and time lines.
• On call by cell phone on a rotating scheduled basis to provide clinical supervision for staff working at the agency
• Provides support to frontline staff regarding situations that require direct service contacts.
• Develops specific team/program goals and objectives to meet the agency’s operational plan and monitors staff’s attainment of these goals.
Education required:
• Registered Social Worker or a Registered Nurse (preferably with Canadian Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing) Preferred or Equivalent To Be Determined
• Advanced practice experience and a detailed knowledge of serious mental illness usually gained by at least six (6) years of working with this population.
• Supervision experience and human resource skills necessary to provide effective leadership.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Valid Ontario Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle.
Hours of Work: 35 hours/week . Flexible hours are required to meet the position requirements
Salary: Commensurate with experience, inclusive of HOOPP.
