About this role
The Childcare Coordinator provides leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality early childhood education services. This role supports and coaches teaching staff, maintains safe and compliant program operations, and fosters a positive, welcoming environment for children and families. The coordinator oversees enrollment, staff development, classroom quality, and family engagement while ensuring all licensing, documentation, and organizational standards are met.

• Enrollment & Billing
• Manage waitlists and enrollment process
• Support billing and childcare assistance
• Family Engagement
• Build relationships and communicate with families
• Support attendance and parent involvement
• Classroom Support
• Monitor classroom quality and curriculum
• Provide direct classroom support and guidance
• Daily classroom coverage (on average 4 hours/day)
• Professionalism
• Work collaboratively and follow policies
• Attend trainings and demonstrate leadership
• Recordkeeping & Reporting
• Ensure accurate documentation and records
• Meet reporting and compliance requirements
• Communication
• Communicate clearly with staff and families
• Share updates, reports, and program information
Work hours: Monday - Friday between 7:00am-5:00pm (part year July-May)
Reports to: Family Services, Health and Home Visiting (FHH) Program Manager Supervises: Childcare Teacher and Assistant Teachers
Minimum Requirement:
• Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related degree + 12 months experience supervising
• Driver’s License and proof of insurance (requires daily access to personal vehicle that is insured)
Starting Salary:
• Associate’s Degree: $30.85
• Bachelor’s Degree: $33.93
• Master's Degree: $37.33
There is a 10-step wage scale built into this position that occurs annually.
This is a non-exempt position with a 90-day introductory period.
