The Business Development Manager drives revenue growth, expands GIS's market presence across Poland and Europe, and builds strong long-term customer relationships. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities within Supply Chain, Procurement and Operational Excellence services, developing strategic partnerships, and maximizing sales performance.

Reporting to the Business Development Director (currently the CEO), the Business Development Manager plays a key role in executing GIS's growth strategy and strengthening its position across targeted industries and markets.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Sales Development

• Develop and execute data-driven sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share across Poland and Europe.

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities within Supply Chain, Procurement and Operational Excellence services.

• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and closure.

• Maintain an active sales pipeline and ensure effective sales funnel management.

• Align sales initiatives with the strategic objectives and growth ambitions of GIS.

Customer & Partner Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customers, partners and senior stakeholders.

• Engage with senior management teams of multinational and Fortune 500-type organizations.

• Understand customer needs and develop tailored value propositions.

• Foster a customer-centric sales culture focused on delivering sustainable business value.

• Represent GIS professionally at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.

Market Development

• Identify new opportunities within the Medical, Oil & Gas, Aerospace & Defense and Railway sectors.

• Monitor market trends, industry developments and competitive activity.

• Leverage market intelligence to identify strategic growth opportunities.

• Support the development of strategic partnerships that strengthen GIS's market position.

• Contribute to the expansion of GIS's presence within targeted geographic markets.

Profile

Technical Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in business development, sales, consulting services, or a commercial role within Supply Chain and Procurement environments.

• Strong understanding of sales methodologies, lead generation, account management and pipeline development.

• Experience working with CRM systems, reporting tools and advanced Excel applications.

• Financial acumen with understanding of revenue growth, profit margins, pricing strategies, budgeting and forecasting.

• Knowledge of Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Inventory Management and Operational Excellence practices.

• Strong commercial awareness combined with the ability to translate customer needs into business opportunities.

• Experience within Medical, Oil & Gas, Aerospace & Defense and/or Railway industries is considered a strong asset.

• Good understanding of the Polish and/or broader European market landscape.

• Willingness to travel as required.

Language Requirements

• English: Full professional proficiency.
