Wood Rodgers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will support our geotechnical projects and work under the guidance of our Senior Geotechnical Engineer. This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position. Prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical projects. Develop and execute services and analyses indicated in the project scope. Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards. Prepare engineering reports providing professional opinions and reasonable geotechnical solutions including: Formulating design recommendations for civil, commercial, and residential structures. Providing recommendations for roadway rehabilitation and new structural pavement sections. Review of development plans for compliance with the project’s geotechnical report requirements. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) during construction. Other duties as assigned, potentially including forensic investigations, development and design of innovative solutions to unique problems and writing technical reports from scratch (i.e. not relying upon a master report or template).
