We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Survey Technician Intern to support survey crews on a Forest Service project in the High Uintas. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on field experience while working in a rugged and beautiful mountain environment. Assist survey crews with fieldwork on a Forest Service project in the High Uintas. Carry and set up survey equipment while working across rugged, mountainous terrain. Assist with collecting accurate field measurements and survey data. Help survey crews locate, identify, and document project features in the field. Learn and apply basic surveying techniques, equipment, and field procedures under the direction of experienced surveyors. Maintain and organize survey equipment and supplies. Work as part of a team to complete daily field assignments safely and efficiently. Spend extended periods outdoors hiking and working in varying weather and terrain conditions. Follow all company and project safety procedures while working in remote areas. Perform other field-related duties as assigned.
