Monitors contractor operations and verifying conformance with project plans and specifications Serves as the on-site highway inspector for construction work performed by the contractor and subcontractors Interacts with the construction contractor’s site supervision on field activities to ensure compliance with the construction contract requirements Prepares daily reports, correspondence, change orders, periodic payment estimates, and quantity computations Observes details of work performed by others, documenting results; obtaining photographic documentation of work performed Confirms compliance with technical documents and industry-specific standards and codes Reviews and downloads field data into laptop computer and transfer to company server Discusses projects with project team on a daily basis Makes accurate judgment-calls on a variety of construction field activities Will work night shifts and weekends, as required Performs other like duties, as assigned
