The Opportunity We are now recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant The primary function of the role is to implement and ensure compliance with px’s Finance strategy, procedures and systems and, to prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. • Work effectively and positively with all px employees, to provide timely, accurate and comprehensive management reporting. To include: o Undertaking month-end close. o Management of accruals and prepayments. o Support of purchase invoice processing. o Management of sales invoice processing. • Analyse variances and resolve potential problems with appropriate budget holders, making appropriate recommendations. • Work with all employees with budgetary responsibilities to ensure that they are all are aware of their Finance responsibilities and how to carry them out. • Provide relevant and accurate financial and accounting advice and consultancy, including guidance and direction on company procedure, legislative compliance requirements and changes and amendments. • Prepare and produce management reports. • Assist Finance & Contracts Administrator to ensure effective and efficient invoice administration. • Support statutory and commercial audits. • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns. • Provide positive contributions, completion of actions and timely reporting back to other department members and appropriate employees.
