Your responsibilities may include: Patient Care and Veterinary Nursing Provide hands-on care during examinations, treatments, and procedures Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement Complete and assist with in-house laboratory diagnostics Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care Maintain accurate and timely medical records Support veterinarians in developing and carrying out treatment plans Surgery, Dentistry and Anesthesia Assist with surgical and dental procedures Provide anesthesia monitoring and perioperative patient care Support patient preparation, recovery, and discharge Utilize appropriate monitoring equipment and protocols to promote patient safety Team Development and Mentorship Help train and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians Share clinical knowledge and technical best practices Serve as a resource for teammates developing their skills Help create a positive, collaborative learning environment Support onboarding and continued development of new team members Client Communication Educate pet owners regarding medications, treatments, and home care Assist with discharge instructions and follow-up recommendations Build trust with clients through compassionate, knowledgeable communication Help create a positive client experience from admission through discharge Hospital Workflow Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow Identify opportunities to improve workflow and patient care Help uphold hospital protocols and medical standards Step in where needed to support the team during busy periods
