About this role
As a Senior Turbomachinery Engineer at Impulse Space, you will design, analyze, build and test high performance turbomachinery while working closely with a fast paced, agile team. Design turbomachinery components for a high performance liquid rocket engine Perform 1-D sizing and detailed flowpath design for liquid inducers, stators, and impellers, as well as hot gas turbine rotors and stators Perform sizing and detailed design of secondary fluid flowpaths for bearings, seals, and coolant paths Perform detailed structural analysis of turbomachinery components Work with design and build teams to ensure hardware is highly manufacturable, low cost, and high reliability Work with build and test teams to ensure success of turbopump manufacturing and testing
