Overview of the role The Senior KYC Onboarding Specialist is a critical role within the organisation, responsible for managing complex customer onboarding activities and acting as a subject matter expert across AML, KYC, and client due diligence processes. The Senior KYC Onboarding Specialist would play a key role within the team utilising their experience in the AML/KYC space in onboarding Corporate, Institutional and Intermediary clients as well as providing support and guidance to the KYC Team. · Conduct thorough and accurate Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews in accordance with AML/KYC regulations, internal policies, and risk frameworks. · Independently manage complex, high-risk, and non-standard onboarding cases, applying a risk-based approach and exercising sound judgement in decision making. · Identify, investigate, and resolve complex onboarding challenges, escalating matters where appropriate and working closely with the business to achieve suitable outcomes. · Act as a senior point of contact for onboarding-related queries and escalations, providing expert advice and guidance to both internal stakeholders and clients. · Serve as a subject matter expert for AML/KYC and onboarding matters, providing support and guidance to colleagues on complex cases and regulatory requirements. · Assist with management reporting, MI production, audit activities and operational performance reviews, providing data-driven insights and recommendations where appropriate. · Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge, promoting best practice, and contributing to the development of team capability. · Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, controls, and customer experience, leading initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk. · Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of onboarding activities within internal systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
