The Senior Combat and Systems Engineer is responsible for professionally and efficiently executing work in support of client taskings in the field of Combat and Systems Engineering. Provides Combat and Systems engineering advice and support to both internal and external clients iaw task demands Trains, directs, and supports the work of team members allocated to engineering taskings. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and/or participating in professional societies. Contributes technical specialist expertise, or practical knowledge, to internal discussions, R&D projects and billable tasks. As required, provides mentoring, training and guidance to junior engineers and technologists within BMT. Maintains a high level of knowledge and understanding of naval systems design rules and the implications of their application on ship and submarine design Conducts technical assurance/review activities to ensure deliverables meet client requirements. Additionally, the Senior Combat Systems Engineer or Specialist may support the Combat & Systems Engineering team in various technical and project management work, such as: Application of Combat Systems engineering principles, regulations, and standards to various applications. Conduct and leading engineering assessments, feasibility studies and technical investigations. Support various projects in a Combat Systems engineering capacity in combat and military systems, cybersecurity, naval systems and platforms, and others.
