ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant at our Oak Brook, Illinois headquarter office that is self-motivated to work directly with leaders in the business to ensure all aspects of Financial Statements comply with US GAAP. This individual should be creative, dedicated and able to work with a collaborative culture. He or she must have the ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and work closely with other team members to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and share data. Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and related data per company policy and US GAAP and collaboratively work with other functions to ensure reconciling items are quickly resolved Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation Analyze financial statements and related information specific to assigned areas and investigate discrepancies and variances Support month-end close process Identify and implement process improvements to drive accuracy and efficiency Prepare and communicate monthly and ad-hoc reports Work with external auditors and support special projects
