About the Role This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with an interest in law, knowledge management, technology and innovation to contribute to the effective sharing and management of legal know-how. You will work closely with our real estate professional support lawyer and the wider Knowledge, Learning & Development team, partners, fee earners, business service teams, and technology specialists to ensure that legal knowledge is captured, maintained and easily accessible. You will also play an important role in supporting the firm’s adoption of legal technology and AI tools. Innovation, Technology and Digital Literacy Familiarity with and strong interest in the application of AI and other legal technology tools to their optimum effect in the legal environment. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, SharePoint, Teams, Excel). Basic data literacy — ability to report on system usage, identify gaps, and present findings. Knowledge Management Experience with knowledge management systems and document management platforms (e.g. Sharepoint or iManage). Ability to maintain and organise precedent libraries and know-how databases. Understanding of information architecture, taxonomy, and metadata standards and the importance of data quality and hygiene. Project and Stakeholder Management Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills. Strong organisation and time management skills. Confidence in facilitating training sessions on subjects of competence / expertise. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will: understand the business of a commercial law firm and the range of legal practice areas relevant to the firm. understand the importance of professional standards and regulatory requirements in legal services. be familiar with legal research tools and databases. be familiar with and have the ability to analyse legal content (precedents, know-how, practice guides). have experience producing or editing legal know-how materials (legislation summaries, practice guides, checklists). be interested in the organisation of data and how legal knowledge is captured, presented, maintained and made accessible.
