About Us JG Pears is a fourth-generation family business that's grown from a livestock farm near Penistone into one of the largest names in the UK's animal by-products sector, processing over 10,000 tonnes of material a week across the Group.
We're investing heavily in where this industry is heading — from our own combined heat and power plant, to a windfarm on our own land, to a joint venture right next door at High Marnham building a hydrogen production facility that's helping drive the UK towards net zero.
Low Marnham sits at the centre of that growth, and we're looking for a Production Operative to join a 24/7 site and a team that's part of it. Salary: £14.91 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a quarter for any additional hours workedLocation: Low Marnham, Nottingham, NG23 6SPWorking pattern: 4 on 4 off, alternating days and nights, 12 hours per shift Core Benefits Retention bonus available after a qualifying period28 days holiday entitlement (pro-rata), increasing with serviceCompany pension scheme (employer contribution 3% Employee contribution 5%)Company sick pay scheme£300 Introduce a Friend rewardFinancial education and guidance through external providers About the Role You'll be at the centre of a busy, always-on production line — operating machinery, driving forklifts, and using our SCADA system to monitor real-time data from sensors and equipment across the site. It's hands-on, varied work on an established, 24/7 operation.
