Line Operative - Nights Newstaff Employment Services, Milton Keynes are recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturer of plastic caps and closures for the packaging industry.
Our client employs over 200 people across three modern, well-equipped factories, operating multiple shifts and supplying major blue-chip customers using high-speed automated production techniques.
We are currently looking for Line Operatives to join the night shift team.
Shift Pattern Tuesday to Friday8:00pm - 8:00am12-hour shifts Pay Rates Training (3-4 weeks on day shift): Tuesday to Friday, 8:00am - 8:00pm - £12.95 per hourNight Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00pm - 8:00am - £15.80 per hour (£12.95 per hour plus a 22% shift premium) Following successful completion of training, you will move onto the permanent night shift.
Key Responsibilities Erecting cardboard cartons and attaching labelsCarrying out quality inspections on finished productsStacking pallets with completed boxesMaking up new boxesMoving cartons and bulk bins to and from production machinesCompleting production paperwork accuratelyMaintaining high standards of housekeeping within the production areaFollowing health and safety procedures at all times What We're Looking For Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environmentExperience in a similar role is preferredPhysically fit and able to undertake manual handling dutiesComfortable standing for 12-hour shiftsGood English reading and writing skillsGood numerical skillsReliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team Benefits Free onsite parkingStaff canteen with free tea and coffeeWeekly pay for the first 12 weeksOnline payslipsHoliday pay accrued How to Apply Please send your up-to-date CV, including your current contact number, to:
