About this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Picks up and delivers all inter-county food supplies and other stock according to schedule and assignment by supervisor. 2. Selects and sorts items to fill assignments, orders, requisitions. 3. Takes physical count or inventory and verifies with inventory control. 4. Maintains work area and vehicle, keeping clean and in good condition. 5. Maintains equipment/tools in safe and operating condition. 6. Follows established procedures for loading, unloading, receiving, sorting, storing of items. 7. Delivers payroll under lock and key and follows accountability procedures. 8. Responds to directives for unscheduled services. 9. Obeys all traffic laws. 10. Observes all traffic safety regulations. 11. Checks vehicle for mechanical defects before each use. 12. Notifies proper authority in case of mechanical problems for lateness. 13. Reports all accidents and completes all required reports. 14. Abides by and facilitates adherence to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures; maintains professional ethical standards; maintains high level of professional development/knowledge. 15. Other duties as may be (1) temporarily and/or sporadically assigned by the supervisor and/or the Board, (2) permanently reassigned and specific changes noted and signed by the supervisor. Qualification\Certifications Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent. Hold a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License Such alternatives to the above requirements as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Language Skills: Ability to independently maintain written records. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to meet schedule/time requirements.
