JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: General Clerk and Student Services SUPERVISOR: CEO, President, Superintendent, or Designee
A general clerk performs a variety of essential administrative tasks to support students, including assisting with admissions, registration, records management, and providing information and guidance on various student services. The position includes, but is not limited to, answering phones, filing documents, and managing correspondence. This position maintains organized records, prepares reports, handles mail, and provides general support to other staff to ensure smooth office operations. Key skills for this role include proficiency in office software, attention to detail, and strong communication and organizational skills. Position often works collaboratively with other staff members to support the team in the Lobby area, as scheduled or required.
Schedule Appointments: For Students and Other Staff Members. Administrative Support: Handle general office duties, including answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, and greeting visitors. Provide Information and Guidance: To students on various student services, including registration, counseling, financial aid, and other resources. Greet Visitors and Assist Students and/or Parents: Completing forms and applications. Lobby Area: Work in the Lobby area, as scheduled or required, to support the team. Attendance: Assist with attendance and enrollment processes. Student Files: Assist in maintaining active and inactive student files. File and Copy: Various types of documents and reports. Record and File Management: Maintain accurate and organized filing systems, both physical and digital. This includes ensuring documents are properly filed and easily retrievable. Data Entry: Enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and other software programs. Document Preparation: Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other correspondence. Scheduling: Help schedule appointments and manage staff calendars. Office Supplies: Monitor and help manage office supplies and inventory. Communication: Interact with other departments to support the overall workflow. Other Duties: Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
